The paleo diet, which in essence is similar to a ketogenic diet, focuses on high protein, high (healthy) fat, low carb, and lots of fresh fruits and veggies. Excluding dairy products (besides eggs), grains, processed foods and sugars, it is an incredible diet to take on as a lifestyle. A paleo diet can help immensely with autoimmune diseases, allergies, skin problems, aid in weight loss, and more.  

Whether you currently follow a modern paleo diet, or you are new to the paleolithic lifestyle, having a paleo diet shopping list is the key to successfully meal prepping and remaining consistent. By entering into the grocery store with a list of ingredients or items, you will be less distracted by the unnecessary snack or impulse items.

As a general rule, sticking to the perimeter of the grocery store is going to be your best route. That is where the real, fresh foods are that you want to focus on. Organic fruits and vegetables on one end, and organic lean meats, fish, and poultry on the other.
